COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM PORTFOLIO
We replace fragmented interventions with an ecosystem of care. Each program reinforces the other, guiding youth and adults from crisis to self-sufficiency.
PILLAR 01: CREDIBLE MESSENGERS
The Dream Rescue Project pairs credible messengers with at-risk youth for structured weekly video and audio mentoring calls. Rooted in four non-negotiable principles—“respect, safety, trust, and personal growth”—the curriculum helps young people develop emotional discipline, avoid court involvement, and stay focused on academic and personal goals.
• 1-on-1 Virtual Credible Messenger Calls: High-security, structured video and voice sessions connecting youth with mentors who share lived experience.
• The Dream Boyz Brotherhood: Weekly accountability circles unpacking anger, trauma, and peer pressure without judgment.
• Character-Building & Essential Life Skills: Practical instruction in emotional de-escalation, impulse control, and constructive manhood.
• East Side Charter School Partnership: Hands-on academic intervention moving suspended students into Delaware's premier charter environments.
PILLAR 02: ACTIVE INTERRUPTIONS
The Violence Intervention Team operates on Wilmington streets to stop retaliatory disputes before weapons are drawn. Credible messengers respond 24/7 to conflict hotspots and hospital emergency rooms, conduct confidential family mediation, and lead weekly healing circles for victims and grieving relatives.
• Real-Time Hospital & Street Response: Responding directly to emergency rooms and conflict hotspots to prevent retaliatory violence.
• Trauma-Informed Healing Circles: Weekly community processing spaces for families and young people navigating acute grief and PTSD.
• Family Crisis Mediation: Neutral third-party arbitration resolving domestic disputes and neighborhood feuds before weapon involvement.
• Community Peace Walks & Safe Zones: Regular physical presence reclaiming streets and creating gun-free safe zones for children.
PILLAR 03: RESTORATIVE REINTEGRATION
Returning citizens face steep obstacles upon discharge from Delaware correctional institutions. The D.R.E.A.M. Initiative starts transition planning 60 to 90 days before release, providing vital identification, transit passes, transitional housing placement, and one-on-one mentorship to prevent recidivism permanently.
• Pre-Release Transition Planning: Coordinating with Delaware correctional staff 60–90 days prior to release dates.
• Housing Navigation & Transit Vouchers: Ensuring no individual is released into homelessness or stranded without bus passes.
• Legal Support & Record Expungement: Direct assistance obtaining state IDs, driver's license restoration, and record sealing.
• Financial Literacy & Life Skills: Checking account establishment, budget discipline, credit rebuilding, and parenting support.
PILLAR 04: ECONOMIC SOVEREIGNTY
Economic independence protects individuals from returning to survival crimes. In partnership with Delaware labor unions, trade contractors, and vocational training centers, we prepare participants for certified living-wage careers across four distinct vocational tracks.
• Construction & Carpentry: OSHA-10 certifications, power tool mastery, framing, and union apprenticeship entry.
• Automotive Repair & Maintenance: Engine diagnostics, brake service, tire care, and technician certification prep.
• Culinary Arts & Hospitality: ServSafe food safety certifications, commercial kitchen training, and catering enterprise.
• Digital Literacy & Entrepreneurship: Computer proficiency, accounting software, business registration, and web marketing.
PILLAR 05: SYSTEMIC LEADERSHIP
Community safety requires grassroots advocacy alongside systemic justice reform. We train residents to hold institutions accountable, bring justice-impacted individuals to legislative hearings, and deploy mobile counseling, nutrition, and job assistance directly to neighborhood streets.
• "Purple Dream" Mobile Outreach Bus: A mobile community center on wheels equipped with Wi-Fi, job application kiosks, trauma counselors, and hot meal distribution roving through high-need Wilmington blocks.
• The DREAM Academy: An alternative educational space fostering character reconstruction, emotional intelligence, and non-violent leadership.
• Policy Roundtables with Lawmakers: Ensuring formerly incarcerated citizens and impacted youth have direct voting seats at state justice taskforces.
• Community Gardens & Food Sovereignty: Urban gardens cultivating fresh organic produce while teaching youth patience and stewardship.
COMMUNITY REFERRAL PORTAL
Families, educators, school counselors, probation officers, and community members can submit confidential referrals. We respond within 24–48 hours.
